About the Founder
Isaiah Smith, the Founder, was born in Downers Grove, Illinois. Since his childhood, Isaiah has always wanted to give back to others and help individuals that have been in his shoes. Well known by his peers, faculty and administrators at Austin Community College District, Isaiah served as the Student Body President of the entire college of almost forty thousand students, and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and the Honors Program. Isaiah was selected by the college to serve as a commissioned city official as a college representative advocating for the interests of approximately one hundred thousand students in the Travis County, Texas area. During his time at Austin Community College District, Isaiah has worked with faculty and administrators to advocate for the needs of students and faculty as well as speaking on panel discussions hosted by the college and the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U). Isaiah has experience being a Commissioner with the City of Austin on the Human Rights Commission and has experience being a Legislative Intern with a State Representative with the Texas House of Representatives as well as a Congressional Intern with a United States Congressman. Outside of his educational pursuit, Isaiah has dedicated his time serving, working, and mentoring numerous students of all ages at a school district for over two years and being there for students, faculty and administrators that are in need on a regular basis. Further, the founder is an '22 alumni who was selected out of almost one thousand students nationwide to participate in a highly selective program run by Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
